Joe Keenan is the Chief Digital & Technology Officer at Patients Rising and its advocacy arm, Patients Rising Now. Joe leads digital application development and technology for patient education programming, empowerment, community-building, and grassroots advocacy.
In addition, he manages the enterprise “tech stack,” powering the marketing, business development, and business management applications.
Joe’s path to digital transformation work began in traditional publishing and product-marketing roles at Wiley, then Thomson Reuters. He transitioned to all digital in 2000 at the Partnership for a Drugfree America (now the Partnership to End Addiction), where he developed their online parent education center and one of the first online communities for parents focused on teen drug/alcohol prevention and intervention, winning several Webby awards in the process.
Joe and his wife Lynn reside in the quirky town of Hudson, NY, in the Hudson Valley, along with their mini–Australian Shepherd and two cats.
