Patients Rising Now sent a letter to Congressional leadership requesting that the Medicare Providers Act (H.R.8800) be included in the end-of-year spending package. The Medicare Physician Schedule is the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid’s guideline for how reimbursement is handled for a given calendar year. There is no planned increase for physicians until 2026, which is especially troubling given the inflation that has taken place recently. This puts Medicare providers and patients at risk of reduced or diminished care. H.R.8800 would make sure that physicians can be reimbursed for helping the patients who need it most. And, with time running out in the 117th Congress, it’s more important than ever for our elected officials to act. Be sure to read the letter today!
