Many Insurers and PBMs are now utilizing copay accumulators to stop copay assistance from counting towards a patient’s deductible and maximum out-of-pocket spending. These practices are creating significant financial and health issues for the patients we serve.
The Joint Committee on Financial Services will be holding a virtual hearing on Tuesday, September 21 at 10 AM about S.644 and H.1053 which would ban co-pay accumulator programs in Massachusetts. Learn more about the hearing here.
